  • ICICIdirect Executive @UDAYABHANU NATARAJAN, Thank you for the query. We would like to inform you that the difference in the Demat holdings and Portfolio section can happen where the transaction is not routed online through ICICIdirect. These are either offline transactions that you may have done directly on your demat account or because of corporate actions like merger, takeover, scheme of arrangement, demerger, amalgamation, rights etc. These transactions need to be updated manually by you in your ICICIdirect account.
Corporate Actions (Bonus shares credited into demat account after March 21, 2012 and split shares received after May 17, 2012) is automatically updated into portfolio.
To update shares manually under Portfolio tracker below is the procedure :
    Login to your ICICIdirect Account.
Go To Portfolio page and click on Equity
    Click on Advance Options dropdown.
Click on Add new transaction manual
Following details needs to be entered by you
Stock Code - Please enter the stock code of the shares for which you wish to update the transaction corporate action (Bonus /split)
    Trade Type - Select BUY
Exchange - Select the exchange on which shares have been listed- By Default it would be NSE
Quantity - No of Shares received
Price per unit (without brokerage) - Please mention 0 (ZERO) in case of Bonus and split shares.
